Q. What are the chairs made of?

A. The chairs are made from sturdy 26mm aluminum reinforced tubing with 600D weather-resistant polyester fabric, although we wouldn’t recommend sitting in the chair when it’s raining- you’d get soaked, and you’d look silly sitting by yourself in the rain.

Q. How does the heating element work?

A. Micro-fiber heating elements are sewn directly into the chair and cushion, powered by a portable lithium-ion battery. The effect is magic.

Q. What’s included with the Tempachair™?

A. In addition to the chair, included are the rechargeable battery, and an AC charger and a car charger for two convenient options.

Q. What’s included with the Tempachair™ pad?

A. In addition to the cushion, included are the rechargeable battery, AC charger, and a nylon carry/storage bag when not in use. We’ve thought of everything!

Q. Why does the Tempachair™ retail for $99.95?
A. You can purchase an aluminum-framed outdoor director chair almost anywhere between $40 - $60, depending upon the features offered. We’ve taken the quality meter up a notch or two…our chair sits higher off the ground than other outdoor chairs, is wider and deeper in the seating area, and features seriously cushioned armrests. We wanted to design a chair that we knew we could enjoy outdoors for long periods of time- and we did! Plus, we use the best lithium-ion battery that we could find to create a safe and reliable power source to heat the chair. Q. Why does the Tempachair™ pad retail for $59.95?
A. The heated pad uses the same lithium-ion battery technology and heating element as the chair, and we wanted to offer a cushion that would provide you with 100’s of hours of enjoyment, not just hours. Other heated cushions range from $79- $99, so we’re actually less expensive! And, the others don’t roll up for ease of use and can’t be thrown in the washing machine to clean.

Q: I can warm my chair like the Tempachair™ by keeping coals or embers in a pan under my seat, can’t I?
A: Sure you can, and sitting around a campfire with a tempachair is certainly one of the great uses for the chair. What makes the tempachair a bit different is that our temperature control on the battery allows you to get warm, not branded! Also, there are many places or events that may not allow open fires, like parking lots, or the kids’ soccer field.

Q. How many times can the rechargeable battery be used?

A. We’ve tested the battery for over 300 charges, and then we got tired of testing, so it could be more than that! Let us know if you beat our record!

Q. How long will the Tempachair™ and Tempachair™ pad stay warm on a full charge?

A. If you’re really cold, and you’ve cranked up the heat to the high setting, you’ll get about 2 ½ hours at the 140F temp. If you keep it on low (120F- which is still high, if you think about it), you’ll be able to keep that temp going for nearly 4 hours, in case the game goes into overtime!

Q. What is the weight capacity of the Tempachair™?

A. Listen, there’s no need to skip any tailgate feasts on our behalf! Our extra-wide seat measures 21 inches (that’s roomy, trust us) and if you weigh in under 3 bills, you’re ok!

Q. How do I clean the Tempachair™?

A. We’re not suggesting that you’re messy, but wacky things can happen when you’re outdoors! Simply pat the fabric with a wet cloth to remove most ordinary stains.

Q. How do I clean the Tempachair™ pad?

A. Same as above, or you can step it up a notch- throw it in the washing machine! Just remember to cover the end of the wire connector with the plastic cap attached, so it doesn’t get damaged. No tumble dry, no dry cleaning. Just line dry, and you’re back in business. DO NOT PUT THE TEMPACHAIR™ CHAIR IN THE WASHING MACHINE- seriously, that wouldn’t be good.
